Will SPY make new all time highs today? Trade Ideas for Friday Feb 14, 2025
Did you make 1000% on a trade yesterday? Read the recap on our 1600%+ trade.
Good morning lovers.
BOOM!!!! Remember how I said I was overdue a 1000%+ trade? Yesterday we got it! We also got multiple 300-400% trade. What a great day to be a trade planner!
I not only predicted the faker dip that would come in the the afternoon but also exactly where we would run to. $SPX 6100c order in at 0.80 when it was around 2.50. End of day target $15-18. It reached 17.50!
This one trade could have paid for several year of THT-PRO service. Some of you are complaining its expensive. Show me a service that complains about only making 100% on a trade! Or one that plans and shares 1000%+ gainer trades at least twice a month. From a risk/reward standpoint its a no-brainer imho. Ask yourself, are you willing to risk $300 to learn how to plan trades and get alerts that potentially pay thousands. I recently spoke to one member and he told me he is up over $110,000 since joining.
If you are struggling in your trading, remember 90% of your trading job is to do nothing. 10% is planning and taking action. That means that in a 390. minute trading day. You should only be active taking action 39 minutes of it. That is the time for planning, setting alerts, and placing orders. The rest is just waiting for your orders to execute — both buying and selling.
95% of traders lose, not because they don’t have good information, but because of bad discipline and impatience. So devote yourself to improving these things. I’m not perfect at it either. I often sell too much too soon.
Off the soapbox and into the action,
Thursday Highlights
SPY - BOOM we got BTFD again and finally reached 609s! and SPX 6115 level!
Check the Recap for the trades and why. But overall nice. We got:
6100c - $1 —> 5 ($400% gain)
6100c - $0.8→$15 (1775% gain)
6070c - $5 →$45 (800% gain) (premarket entry)
/ES long at 6057 → 6137 (premarket entry)
TSLA - backtested 343 and ran 358. Musk also said willing to rescind OpenAI offer under conditions.
BABA - Consolidated all day between 116-119
AAPL - cleared 235 and ran to 242. remember our 235c for 0.35 on Monday with target of 3-5 (it hit 7!)
APP - perfect gap up reversal trade setup that met my levels perfectly! Chased short via 450p from $3-→10 (hit $12)
Overall market action is full BTFD mode. One possible catalyst was news that tariffs delayed to April.

SPY 0.00%↑ - tested 611 and then dipped back on 609
BABA 0.00%↑ - gapping up to 127 again

Trade Recap for Thurs Feb 13
GOLD BOLD ITALIC = price action signal
WHITE REGULAR = action to take/taken
GREEN REGULAR = trades I should have taken
SPY / SPX
Perfect planning and execution yesterday. Only thing I wish I did different was sold 20-30% at T1 instead of 50%
Forgot about my /ES scoop in premarket. and alerted sold 50% end of day. Let’s see if SPY follows through with a multi month range break.
APP
Playbook scanner nailed it! This is my textbook Gap Reversal Setup playbook. Not only did it catch the first short setup at the highs targeting 482. when 492 started failing it also planned the drop to 453!!!!
If you are busy and want to see my commentary and ideas in real time consider joining THT-PRO.
Education - How to Join a Strong Trend
The process I typically follow for joining a strong trend are as follows:
All day grinder: join on dips to 20ma
Multi-day grinder:
Join either on support test of morning lows/failed breakdown reversal
Join at vwap mid day or end of day
Keep it simple. Don’t chase, wait for support levels for great risk/reward entries!
Education - Systematic Profit Taking
How do I take profits? I keep it relatively simple. Depending on the entry and range to the next levels I typically with take profits 50-100% of my profits at 3-10R and then raise stops to above entry with a goal of letting runners take me to the next level or 2 and to then reload if I believe we are consolidating before the next leg.
I then repeat the same process on the reload.
Let me know in the comments if you have questions or would like to see examples, I’ll share them.
Trade Ideas - Plan for Friday Feb 14
Stick to process. The process and trade setups I teach works. Rinse and repeat over and over again. There will be losses. Any good system will have them. Being systematic also means the gains will repeat and come again too. If you keep changing your system/process trying in an effort to never lose a trade, you will never get to where you want to go.
Ideas
I didn’t like the retail data this morning , but unsure if the upside momentum will be deterred by it.
