Good morning traders!
What a plan!!!! Yesterday I wrote in the paid portion of the blog…
And what happened? Exactly what I said! Guys this isn’t guessing, it’s probabilities. If I have high conviction on an idea, I will spell out what I want to see in the blog. If I’m unsure I provide the levels that I will be looking for price action to react to. My style of trading is lucrative but requires patience for entry, patience to get paid, and discipline for exiting with smallish losses when wrong. In other words, you have to trust the process, and be process oriented. This often means don’t look at every candle, look at reaction to key levels, and decide on conviction level for your idea so chop doesn’t get you out.
Here is my logic for TSLA. Notice I take some profit as levels are hit and how I raised my top on the new high to below vwap. and the dip that got bought.
If you wish you bought TSLA, and had a bit more guidance. What are waiting for? Join us at THT PRO.
In theory our 420c should sell for $15+ from $3.50 and $1.70 scoops this week.
Our 400c swing for Dec 20 we got for $2 a couple of weeks ago should be $30-40.
and the Jan 350c I got when TSLA was 320-330 for $18 are now over $70!
I rarely swing trade positionally for months out, but if you see me do it…
Pay attention to when I sell and when I buy, It’s the same process over and over and over again. Keep it simple! In strong bull trend, I look for the 1-2 day drop to scoop off a key level, I take profits after 2 to 4 level moves happen.
I’m continuing work on the algo. Guess What, What if you got an alert that gave you a trade signal, but then told you… DON’T TAKE IT? Many times the best trade you can make is the one you avoid. You are right about the direction and what will happen, but the risk/reward isn’t there.
I was reviewing my algo for TSLA yesterday. It signaled short following process, however it also said it didn’t like the odds and risk/reward. Wouldn’t that be great…. A system to make you aware of trade ideas it doesn’t like.
For example it signaled a short on the 5th and gave 3 levels and 90% odds. and yesterday it signaled 70% odds and 1 level with only a 2.13 reward to risk.
Talk about having a tool that tells you where not to waste energy. It won’t always be right, but bad trade avoidance is essential!
Wed Highlights!

Trade Recap for Tues Dec 10
GOLD BOLD ITALIC = price action signal
WHITE REGULAR = action to take/taken
GREEN REGULAR = trades I should have taken
SPY / SPX
We nailed the scoops on /ES on Tuesday afternoon and got paid the next day with a gap up and go!
Notice the use of bull puts after support held and bear calls in late afternoon.
If you are busy and want to see my commentary and ideas in real time consider joining THT-PRO.
Education - How to Join a Strong Trend
The process I typically follow for joining a strong trend are as follows:
All day grinder: join on dips to 20ma
Multi-day grinder:
Join either on support test of morning lows/failed breakdown reversal
Join at vwap mid day or end of day
Keep it simple. Don’t chase, wait for support levels for great risk/reward entries!
Education - Systematic Profit Taking
How do I take profits? I keep it relatively simple. Depending on the entry and range to the next levels I typically with take profits 50-100% of my profits at 3-10R and then raise stops to above entry with a goal of letting runners take me to the next level or 2 and to then reload if I believe we are consolidating before the next leg.
I then repeat the same process on the reload.
Let me know in the comments if you have questions or would like to see examples, I’ll share them.
Trade Ideas - Plan for Thu Dec 12
Stick to process. The process and trade setups I teach works. Rinse and repeat over and over again. There will be losses. Any good system will have them. Being systematic also means the gains will repeat and come again too. If you keep changing your system/process trying in an effort to never lose a trade, you will never get to where you want to go.
Ideas
I needed that dip on Tuesday for market to reset for upside. Remember my thesis is we rally until Inauguration day… No major dump until then. unless we break Tuesday’s low, I have upside bias.
Here is what I’m thinking and looking for to make money on today…
