SPY gave a clean failed break down reversal yesterday. Did you catch it? Short day today... Ideas for Wed July 3, 2024
TSLA riding a rocket! I alert 200c for 7/5 exp at $2.65 last week. Today they are over $30! BTC bounced off 60k to 64k as predicted before more lows. 60k being tested, if it breaks could get ugly.
Good morning traders!
We have a short day today, and what a day yesterday was! Congrats to THT Pro member Marcos again on his 5500c fill for 0.50 that ran to $8!!! Way to use the levels and the process!
Yesterday I asked the question of will SPY break down. In order not to, 544.30 needed to reclaim and that is exactly what happened. My process is super simple. As soon as you recognize that 544.30 was reclaimed count 2 levels up which gives us 548. That is a high probability target of being reached and that is exactly what happened with a little extra juice into the close for a squeeze into 549.
What I’m trying to emphasize here is to learn the patterns and process. One of the most powerful triggers of moves are failed breakdown reversals and failed breakout reversals. 90% of my trading is based on this.
Given this I alerted taking SPX 5470 bull puts for 2.50 that went to 0. why? over 80% probability of a win and I didn’t have to watch or time the moves for the grind. I could go enjoy my day.
Let’s review yesterday’s trades and then go over ideas for this short day.
If you're struggling, take some time to review past blog posts and learn the processes and core trade setups I use. Patience is key. Don't force yourself into a trade. Only enter trades at or near key levels with enough range to the next level to provide a great risk/reward opportunity.

Tuesday’s Price Action (Education)
You don't try to make $100,000 ...You don’t start by saying, I’m going to make the biggest most profitable trade and turn $1000 into $100,000 and fix all my bad trades before.
You say, I’m going to plan and execute 1 trade as perfectly as I can today. You do that every single day, and soon you'll have a $100,000 and likely much more!
Please note all times are Eastern/New York regardless of what time zone I happen to be in.
SPY / SPX
I included the premarket action so you can see how we were gapping down. and if 542.30 broke I expectd downside, but I also expected upside if 544.30 reclaimed. Here is the thing about my process and levels. notice premarket was a 2 level move down, that is a great risk/reward long spot expecting gap fill. Then the questions i what’s next. After the open 544.30 was reclaimed immediately. Vwap was then tested multiple times during the first hour. What is the trend join rule? if vwap is tested at 10:30 and hold, join the direction. The dirction is up. We then count 2 levels giving use 548. Where did SPY reach by end of day? 548. Two Hour Trading. You get positioned around 10:30-11 . Set your bracket orders and walk away. nothing more to do!
I was expecting the squeeze into close and all afternoon I had cheapier orders ready for the fill to give us a 10-20x reward trade but mrket was just too strong! Some days will be like that but overall a solid day.
TSLA
TSLA delivery numbers came out and it ripped hard. In recent history TSLA always gave up the gap so I was mentally prepared for that. however watchign the price action and the wy vwap held I decided to take 225c and shared this plan with THT PRO members.
All targets met yielding a 3-10R reward to the risk!
Please review the options charts and the trade setups.
PS. I’m working on a Levels and Price Action Mastery Course. If you have charts you want me to include or are confused by send them to me! I would love your help getting examples of charts to that are confusing for you to read!
Trade Ideas - Plan for Wed July 3
Stick to process. The process and trade setups I teach works. Rinse and repeat over and over again. There will be losses. Any good system will have them. Being systematic also means the gains will repeat and come again too. If you keep changing your system/process trying in an effort to never lose a trade, you will never get to where you want to go.
Ideas
Bulls are in full control, unless something strange happens such as btc breaking 58k and it having a ripple effect into stock market for risk-off, I’m looking for BTFD.
Today is a short day so it could very likely be a consolidation day, but with low volume sometimes we also get wild moves so lets see. Bottom line stick to process.
If btc does break 60k/and 58k I will likely take COIN and MSTR puts.
