Good morning traders!
Last week I shared that 131 is the short spot for NVDA. yesterday we tagged the level perfectly and then dumped 4 levels to 124.30. I took it off the watchlist because I typically don’t like to trade stocks that are juiced are ahead of E/R. Overall the point is that it that the level were spot on! And the thesis that 131 was a sell spot was accurate.
Identifying key levels and planning trades is my specialty. In that I commented yesterday about the weakness in PDD. I worked up levels and shared that with THT-PRO members after publishing yesterday’s blog.
My key plan, if 108.50 broke I expected it to drop to 98-100. So we took 100p for 1.50 and it spiked to 6.50, dropping to $97. That is a great plan!
The rest of the day, I spent waiting for dips and opportunity to go long and tried longs, but the market price action was overall relatively weak as it based/dipped waiting for NVDA earnings.
Let’s see what today brings. While market waits for NVDA, I’ll be eyeing PDD and CAVA today.

Trade Recap for Monday Aug 26
SPY / SPX
I was so focused on PDD I missed the short trade on SPX. I then tried to get long in later afternoon but I chose contracts too far away and SPY choose to be pinned instead of ripping. I ended up losing 50% of my profits from morning trying to catch a ranged move into the close.
That is 100% OK. remember being systematic and process oriented and accept not all trades will work. There was a 5-10R payout that would have come IF it did work. so I would absolutely do it again.
PDD
Notice the Signals in BOLD Italics. I use that to determine direction, I then count 1-2 levels to target and plan my trade. It moved much further than I expected. I was thinking 3.80-4.20 would come at 98 which is exactly what it did, but when 98 broke we we and extra $2 as it dipped under 97. We raised stops on runners and let it do its thing. There is a small chance in my mind this could flush into 86-90 this week.
I’ll be looking for pops into 103-105 area that fail to reload puts.

Education - How to Join a Strong Trend
The process I typically follow for joining a strong trend are as follows:
All day grinder: join on dips to 20ma
Multi-day grinder:
Join either on support test of morning lows/failed breakdown reversal
Join at vwap mid day or end of day
Keep it simple. Don’t chase, wait for support levels for great risk/reward entries!
Education - Systematic Profit Taking
How do I take profits? I keep it relatively simple. Depending on the entry and range to the next levels I typically with take profits 50-100% of my profits at 3-10R and then raise stops to above entry with a goal of letting runners take me to the next level or 2 and to then reload if I believe we are consolidating before the next leg.
I then repeat the same process on the reload.
Let me know in the comments if you have questions or would like to see examples, I’ll share them.
Trade Ideas - Plan for Tuesday Aug 27
Stick to process. The process and trade setups I teach works. Rinse and repeat over and over again. There will be losses. Any good system will have them. Being systematic also means the gains will repeat and come again too. If you keep changing your system/process trying in an effort to never lose a trade, you will never get to where you want to go.
Ideas
Stick to process. I will likely wait 30-60 minutes after open before opening a trade unless major levels are tested that give insane risk/reward opportunity.
Today I’ll be watching for a range break on SPY but for now assuming range bound action. Might look to do credit sells and major levels.
I’ll also be focused on PDD 0.00%↑ and CAVA 0.00%↑
