SPX gives us another 20x trade! NVDA beats. MSTR crossed 500! Is SPY ready for more upside? Trade ideas for Thurs Nov 21, 2024
Are you planning trades that pay as much as 5 to 20 times your risk? ! If not, Join THT to improve your trading.
Good morning traders! The levels are magic! I wanted a dip to 588 to get long, I got the dip. Made a plan. Got stopped! Do I care! nope. It’s a process. So when 588 broke and then back tested and started dropping next level down is 585. We went short. AND when it got to 585, flipped LONG! using bull puts! both pull but paid out great!
On top of that I took a 3hr nap mid day, woke up and planned a 20x trade that went on to play out exactly to target! Edge is an amazing tool. If you trade SPX 0DTE and aren’t using Edge Trade Planner to help plan your trades, try it out and see the difference in your results!
Wednesday Price Action
SPY - broke 589.70 support right out of the gate, then broke 587 and did a 2 level move to 585. Based on my process, that was a high probable long spot. Eventually SPY based for a bit and the built support up and rallied back to 590.50 into the close!
TSLA - rejected 346 and flushed right back into 335 and then slow started grind back to 343. Overall it is in consolidation mode and basing.
SMCI - after Tuesday’s fail at 29 I expected a dip back on 25 and told THT PRO members that is where I will reload long. It dipped right there! and then ran up 2+ points.
MSTR - what a beast. I tried shorting a couple of times for small gains and then stopped for small loss. I tried again afer 500 rejecting lock in gains at 472 and stopped at 490. didn’t want to hold in case there was a gap up overnight which is exactly what happened. Feels like MSTR sellers wont show up until 800-1000 now and shorts are getting run over. That said I will continue to hawk daily for a short. I can’t go long in good conscience here.
Thursday Premarket Action
SPY - back tested 588 and trying to test 593 in premarket.
MSTR - gapping up 540+. I will hawk for a short again today, thinking we may get a nice slide today or tomorrow after 11am.
NVDA - Reported solid earnings yesterday and dipped hard in after hours hitting 138 and tested 140.50 in premarket and now it is testing 148 for a possible breakout higher today.
SMCI - gapping up and pushing on 28, can it finally clear 30 today and squeeze to 37 tomorrow?
Let’s review the trade signals in SPY and go over ideas for today.

Trade Recap for Tuesday Nov 19
GOLD BOLD ITALIC = price action signal
GOLD REGULAR = action to take/taken
GREEN REGULAR = trades I should have taken
SPY / SPX
Notice how my trades are often based on reactions to levels. 585 was a fast 5-6 pt drop in an hour and 2 level move. I have to make a long trade. then I planned the dip to the 10:30 level as I told THT members, I was planning to go long again there.
If you learn to be systematic and how price action behaves the patterns become apparent especially during higher volume. Its when there is low volume that price gets super sloppy and better to walk away for the day.
If you are busy and want to see my commentary and ideas in real time consider joining THT-PRO.
Education - How to Join a Strong Trend
The process I typically follow for joining a strong trend are as follows:
All day grinder: join on dips to 20ma
Multi-day grinder:
Join either on support test of morning lows/failed breakdown reversal
Join at vwap mid day or end of day
Keep it simple. Don’t chase, wait for support levels for great risk/reward entries!
Education - Systematic Profit Taking
How do I take profits? I keep it relatively simple. Depending on the entry and range to the next levels I typically with take profits 50-100% of my profits at 3-10R and then raise stops to above entry with a goal of letting runners take me to the next level or 2 and to then reload if I believe we are consolidating before the next leg.
I then repeat the same process on the reload.
Let me know in the comments if you have questions or would like to see examples, I’ll share them.
Trade Ideas - Plan for Thurs Nov 21
Stick to process. The process and trade setups I teach works. Rinse and repeat over and over again. There will be losses. Any good system will have them. Being systematic also means the gains will repeat and come again too. If you keep changing your system/process trying in an effort to never lose a trade, you will never get to where you want to go.
Ideas
Nice rally yesterday. Ideally we get some dip/profit taking in morning to rebuild support and base before next leg up.
