Why I built Edge Trade Planner - Trader Stories from 07 March 2024

Trader RJ

RJ became a THT PRO member and reached out for help. He told me one of the issues he has is that he doesn’t know where to sell. He’d often sell for small gains and miss out on so much profit. Does it sound familiar? Is this you? If so, Edge Trade Planner could be the help you need.

I showed RJ how to use Edge to plan trades and today I saw his alert and loved the plan.

Here was the plan he created using Edge.

Here is what happened.

Key outcomes:

• Held to T1 and T2 for 4R return.

• Didn’t sell too early

• Made twice more than he usually would have by selling at 1-1.2

• Edge nailed the T2 spike target perfectly

Trader GM

GM reached out to me and sent me his trade log. It was clear to me from the log that is ideas were good but he didn’t have confidence and he was entering a little late and stopping out way too soon.

I’ve been in this exact situation.

So I told him he needs to be working on discount shopping his entries a little more.

TIP: if regularly getting stopped out, try reducing your entry price by 20%. That works for me especially on chase entries. I want to enter at $1.80, I place order at 1.45 and 1.50. Many times it will dip, fill me and spike up. if it keeps dipping, I get stopped, but I’ve loss less.

I then took his trade and put it in Edge. I didn’t provide stops or sell targets. Edge did all the magic.

The stop would not have have been hit and T1 was reached (hod was 0.76)

He was wondering how do you know if it is good risk/reward or not? I said look at the test notice how it says Good Risk/Reward at T1 is green, that is how you know.

Conclusion

It was great to see how the 2 traders already had the right ideas, and how Edge Trade Planner can help them plan their trades leading to profits vs stopping out just before it works or selling too soon before getting the results they deserve.
